Mary Beth Dziedzic is a holistic psychotherapist in Rhode Island and the founder of NOURISH talk walk flow grow, an innovative, holistic fusion of traditional psychotherapy with walking/running therapy, ecotherapy and yoga therapy designed to: cultivate emotional, physical, spiritual growth; promote personal strengths; honor the powerful connection between body, mind, soul; encourage creativity and flexibility; and reconnect with our roots and wild nature. Professionally, Mary Beth is an LICSW, 200-hour registered yoga teacher, a RRCA-certified running coach and former wilderness therapist with over 10 years of experience in these combined fields. Personally, she is a mom, wife, avid runner, yogi and nature lover. NOURISH is the home she wholeheartedly created when these two worlds integrated. Mary Beth is grateful for the opportunity to live, love and teach, with passion and integrity, all that she knows to be healing.
NOURISH offers rich, active, compassionate outdoor-based and/or virtual sessions for curious individuals seeking purpose, hungering for wellness and wanting support in the Rhode Island area. Working with Mary Beth, you are invited to open your whole self — body, mind, soul — because "to heal" means "to make whole." Together, we explore your biology and your biography, your pleasures and your pain. Outside or inside, we pull from ancient wisdom and modern, evidence-based techniques to bring awareness to your own thought processes and your emotional messengers so you can trust yourself to: tell your stories; learn, unlearn and relearn your beliefs; identify what is and is not NOURISHing you; rediscover you and unearth your purpose.
Talking and walking, practicing and processing side-by-side with Mary Beth you can gently learn to be fully present with your whole being, experience your fluctuating emotional and physical landscapes and NOURISH yourself in a way that fosters growth.
Holistic Psychotherapy - Guided by self-compassion, we explore your body mind spirit connection by telling your stories (talk therapy), moving your body (walking/running/yoga therapy) and practicing being present (mindfulness-based therapies).
Finding Purpose - Having a sense of purpose contributes to a longer, healthier life. To find purpose, we talk about what brings you joy and what makes you feel alive. We also talk about what unsettles your soul and the fears holding you back. It’s a conversation that takes commitment, patience and courage.
Ecotherapy / Nature-Based Therapy - Research proves that spending time in nature is one of the best ways to reduce stress and overwhelm and dramatically shift your physical and emotional state. Here at NOURISH, we go outside to reconnect with our roots and use Mother Nature as a teacher to support our work together.
Stress management - Exploring how stress manifests in your body; accepting life's stressful nature; embodying stress; processing stress and learning about your body's innate capabilities to hold and let go of stress.
Relationship issues - Exploring relationship life cycles; understanding your wants and needs; exploring patterns of communication and interactions; nourishing boundaries and non-negotiables; learning about ruptures and repairs in relationships.
Life transitions - Offering support when you are faced with challenging life changes, such as moving to a new area, relationship transitions, child rearing, or career changes; learning self-care to better manage resulting stress
