With a compassionate and client-centered approach, Melissa provides a supportive space where individuals can explore their thoughts and emotions while working toward meaningful, lasting change.

Melissa’s therapeutic style is integrative, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care. By tailoring her approach to each client’s unique needs, she fosters personal growth and self-awareness in a way that is both supportive and effective.

She currently serves full-time as a Behavioral Health Program Manager for a 911 Co-Responder Program, where she works closely with first responders to provide mental health support in crisis situations. Her professional background has given her deep insight into the complexities of trauma, crisis intervention, and community mental health. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from Texas A&M - Commerce in 2017 and holds a Bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University.

Melissa offers fully virtual therapy services, providing confidential and accessible mental health support to clients from the comfort of their own space. She is currently accepting new individual therapy clients, while couples counseling services are on a waitlist. Prospective clients are encouraged to reach out with any questions or to schedule a consultation.

Message to clients

Before we begin our work together, I want to share a few things with you. First and foremost, this is your safe space. Here, you are free to express yourself openly, without judgment. Your thoughts, emotions, and experiences are all valid, and I’m here to listen, support, and walk alongside you in this journey.

In our sessions, I aim to foster a collaborative and compassionate environment. I believe in the power of empathy, active listening, and genuine connection. We’ll explore your concerns, identify patterns, and work together to develop practical strategies to help you overcome challenges. It’s important to remember that therapy is a process—there may be moments of discomfort, but these can often signal growth and valuable insights.

My hope for you is to find healing, self-acceptance, and empowerment. I want you to leave each session feeling inspired and equipped with the tools to face life’s complexities. Know that you are never alone on this path; I’m here to support you every step of the way. Together, we’ll uncover your inner strengths and work toward building the future you deserve.
