Melissa Dewey is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) practicing at the Holistic Heart in Warwick, RI. Melissa also has her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) in Clinical Mental Health and completed a two-year certification in Core Energetics.
Melissa works with young adults (18-24) and adults (24+) who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, academic problems, relationship difficulties, and trauma. When working with clients, Melissa uses a holistic approach to integrate mind, body, and spirit. Melissa focuses on the way clients manage their emotions and energy and incorporates physical movement to release emotions that may be blocked. Melissa incorporates mindfulness and subtle somatic awareness practices as well to provide further awareness and integration.
Clients that work with Melissa often gain a deeper understanding of the language of their bodies and are better able to manage stress and challenges as they arise. Clients often feel a greater sense of wholeness and integration and have a better sense of self than when they started.
