Miguel is a community driven mental health therapist. He has experience working with clients who struggle with substances and with depression. Miguel has also worked extensively with clients with trauma and depression in rural areas. He also focuses on processing the impact of micro-aggressions and the harm that can come to those of the global majority communities. Clients that Miguel works with need a safe space for someone to hear them, validate them, advocate for them, laugh with them, celebrate them, and collaboratively work with them on their therapeutic goals.
He received his Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He is also one of the first Latine adjunct professors at the University of Nebraska Counseling Department. Miguel serves in several board leadership positions advocating for equitable mental health services and for marginalized communities. Many of his sessions are working with teens, young adults, and adult clients. As well as bilingual couples therapy and interracial couples.
