Mindy Walls is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker providing treatment to adolescent and adult individuals in Rhode Island. Many clients present for treatment with complaints of depression, anxiety, or of a general experience of feeling lost, stuck, or disconnected from themselves and often, others. Many clients present in the midst of great life transitions: entering or moving through college, relationship difficulties, or on the precipice of making a career change or other significant life changes.
Mindy works collaboratively and respectfully with her clients. She is warm, curious, friendly, and thoughtful in relationship with her clients. Mindy’s work is grounded in existential and psychodynamic theories, and is relationally-based. In essence, how did we get to where we are now, how are we now, and how do we live the life we want to live, and become the person we want to become? What is in the way of us showing up fully in this moment? Mindy supports her clients to identify unhelpful patterns they have developed over the course of their lives, and work toward trying something new. As a social worker, Mindy is trained to carefully examine the social, economic, and political systems at play in her client’s complaints.
Prior to entering private practice, Mindy worked and trained in outpatient, partial hospital, inpatient hospital, and school settings. Mindy is a graduate of the Smith College School for Social Work.
Mindy is an experienced Telehealth provider with flexible scheduling, and she welcomes new clients to her online practice.
