Nicole Egan is therapist in San Jose with an office location in College Park (off The Alameda). She works with teens, young adults (18-24) and adults (24-40). Many of Nicole’s clients come in to address chronic anxiety, perfectionism, trauma, relationship issues and people pleasing. Nicole is particularly passionate about serving people in their 20s and 30s navigating new life changes and transitions while breaking old cycles and patterns. She also has advanced training in the area of anxiety disorders, adjustment disorders and trauma disorders.
Nicole is trained in using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT), strengths-based therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and mindfulness practices. These modalities help look at experiences you've had in the past that might help us more deeply understand challenges you're having today and then work on healing and accepting those past experiences to strengthen your relationship with yourself and others now in the present. This approach supports clients to heal from past experiences, that have been otherwise running the show in the background, allowing you to show up authentically in the world, find presence and discover connection.

Nicole received their graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University. Before private practice, she has worked for 9+ years in community mental health organizations serving youth and families struggling for support in various systems including foster care, juvenile justice and schools. Outside of being a therapist, she enjoys spending time with family including her two kiddos, being outside among nature (camping, mountain biking, etc), practicing yoga and powerlifting.
