Professional statement

Trauma and hardship have taught many of us to silence our needs, prioritize others, and bury our true feelings. Have major parts of you been overshadowed by external expectations, and painful past experiences leaving little room for growth, acceptance and personal expansion? Despite the inner drive to reclaim authenticity, old habits can linger, hindering progress towards charting a new path. We all have blind spots and sometimes need another set of eyes to reflect back to us what is hidden just out of sight.

I have a deep clinical and personal understanding of the impact that survival-based coping mechanisms (like people pleasing, masking, social conformity, self doubt, avoidance, anxiety and self repression) have on personal growth, self discovery and expression. I also understand the impact that systemic forces of oppression have on creating the need for these mechanisms in the first place. My mission is to challenge these systems of oppression by centering the experience of marginalized and oppressed identities and strengthening the path to authentic living, self-discovery and self determination.

There's a profound inner calling guiding you towards the next phase in your journey, and you don't have to navigate it alone. Seeking validation, guidance and support is essential. Now is the time to make peace with the past and move forward with clarity and alignment.

Message to clients

Doing therapy is deep and challenging work, and my intention is to create a space to facilitate true, meaningful and lasting transformation by bringing together brain science, art, clinical knowledge and lived human experience into the therapeutic space.

With me, therapy is a partnership and you’re not alone on your journey of healing, growth and change. I am right there along with you doing my part to heal, grow and live life fully present. I became a therapist because my own path of healing lead me here. Exploring suffering, joy and the human experience gives life color and meaning for me as a fellow human.
