Professional statement

Olivia White is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State. Olivia is passionate about promoting holistic and creative approaches to healing and facilitating lasting change. The people she works with often experience a near constant state of elevated stress and anxiety. There are things, people, and places they avoid because of their anxiety; feeling they have to keep busy and active to avoid being still with their thoughts. They realize being “on” all of the time limits their ability to enjoy life, but “resting” doesn’t feel like rest either.

Olivia practices therapy from the belief that all mental health conditions are the result of attempts to cope with difficult situations and heavy emotions. She avoids placing labels or diagnoses on her clients, instead encouraging them to take steps towards healing their minds and their bodies. She practices Expressive Art as a way to support a deeper connection to emotions, one outside of words. Clients are also supported through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Polyvagal therapy, and Somatic Experiencing.

Olivia earned a Master’s degree in Counseling from Trinity Washington University, In Washington, DC. She holds a certificate as a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, a Certified Trauma Professional Level II and has a passion for helping people suffering from anxiety.

Message to clients

Doing therapy is deep and challenging work, and my intention is to create a space to facilitate true, meaningful and lasting transformation by bringing together brain science, art, clinical knowledge and lived human experience into the therapeutic space.

With me, therapy is a partnership and you’re not alone on your journey of healing, growth and change. I am right there along with you doing my part to heal, grow and live life fully present. I became a therapist because my own path of healing lead me here. Exploring suffering, joy and the human experience gives life color and meaning for me as a fellow human.
