Having extensive training in both of these areas gives her the unique ability to specialize in serving both couples and individuals with complex needs.

Patience uses a direct style of communication and challenges her clients, creating accountability for their goals and a higher motivation to grow. With Individuals, Patience’s utilizes a therapeutic approach that explores childhood wounds in order to make connections current thoughts, behaviors and reactions that are damaging in our everyday lives.

With couples, along with assisting in building better communication skills and increasing intimacy, Patience helps to identify patterns in relationships that haven’t been working. She works with her clients to create new patterns that lead to less conflict and more connection.

Patience specializes in Marriage, Divorce, Coparenting, Adoption and Trauma.

Both in person and virtual sessions are offered. In person location is in the Houston Heights area. For high conflict couples, families, complex trauma and for children, Patience prefers to offer in person sessions. However, she is willing to offer virtual sessions if that best serves the needs of the client.

Patience has additional training in trauma, play therapy, IFS, and is Gottman Level 1 and 2 trained.

Message to clients

My main goal is to create an environment for my clients where change can happen. I believe in healing and growth instead of just coping for the rest of your life. There are many approaches that can be tailored to the individual needs of each client. Generally, I use an approach that digs further into childhood wounds and the patterns that developed due to those wounds that are now costing us in adulthood.

I have extensive expertise working with couples, and tend to specialize with high conflict couples on the verge of divorce. With couples, I am very directive and confrontational in an attempt to interrupt and change current patterns.
