Message to clients

My name is Samantha and I’m a psychotherapist and the owner and founder of NYC Mental Health Counseling PLLC.

As cliche as this may sound, I knew from a very young age that I wanted to help others and ultimately decided to pursue a career in psychotherapy. My clinical approach is personalized for each client as no two individuals are the same, so I choose from a variety of treatment approaches depending on your specific needs. I will help you develop tools and management skills while working with you to process your thoughts. I want to make sure that I’m understanding your personal challenges both in and out of session, so our work together may involve exploring how your unique identity impacts the way you see and experience the world.

I have treated individuals, couples, families and groups presenting with a range of symptoms and have worked in various treatment settings including both inpatient and outpatient care. I continue to advance my knowledge and skills in the latest evidence-based approaches.

I look forward to working with you!

Therapist's note

I'm an “out-of-network” provider which allows me to provide treatment that will best meet your specific needs rather than adhering to what your insurance company believes is suitable for you. Most insurance companies provide partial reimbursement for out-of-network therapy and the majority of my clients pay between $40 to $85 per appointment after meeting their out-of-network deductible. Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have and I'm happy to explain further.
