Saveen identifies as a South Asian woman and a therapist of color. With a deep understanding of cultural nuances, she is committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for individuals seeking support for various stressors and issues. Saveen prides herself in working with individuals who have diverse personal histories; varying in age, ability, sexual orientation, ethnicity, culture, spirituality, and personal beliefs.
Saveen's therapeutic approach is informed by cultural sensitivity, aiming to foster a collaborative and empowering space for clients on their healing journey. She supports her clients across various issues like depression, anxiety, grief/loss, work-related stress, family stressors, and much more with a focus on past and/or recent trauma. Her approach is integrative, drawing from various evidence-based modalities to tailor therapy to meet each person's unique needs. To help clients with trauma processing she draws from her training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). In sessions, Saveen aims to create a balance between three key components. 1. Empathy and active listening (being a healthy sounding board), 2. Exploring healthy coping skills to reduce the intensity of symptoms (so clients can see real progress) and 3. Taking a deeper dive into the impact of childhood experiences, their relationship with their caregivers, and attachment patterns. This three-pronged approach allows clients to understand, accept, and love parts of themselves that carry negative thoughts and emotions.
Saveen understands the stigma associated with seeking help and the courage that it takes to start this journey, however together, we will navigate challenges, uncover strengths, and foster positive change. In addition to her office in Suwanee, GA, Saveen offers the flexibility of remote therapy sessions and welcomes new clients residing in Texas and Georgia to her online practice.
