Sheeba Fazili is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor located in Overland Park, KS. Sheeba is passionate about working with people of diverse backgrounds, including those facing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or grief. Many of Sheeba’s clients begin therapy because they’ve been engaging in harmful behaviors, whether that’s addiction, toxic relationship dynamics, or self-harm. They seek a pathway towards emotional peace and support as they focus on healthy coping strategies.
Sheeba’s approach to helping clients is through modalities such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Clients learn how to find patterns in their thoughts and feelings, with the goal of managing their thoughts so that they no longer elicit negative emotions. They also learn coping strategies for when they become distressed so they can de-escalate before becoming overwhelmed. Sheeba supports clients as they process through past traumas or painful memories, which can further help them improve their relationships and interpersonal skills.
Sheeba earned a Master’s degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City. She also has a Master's degree in Sociology. She strives to show every client that they are respected, valued, and heard. Clients find that they have greater stress tolerance after only a few sessions with Sheeba, which can be a positive change across many parts of their lives.
