Years of Experience: 16 years
Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)
Life transitions - Coping with difficult or impactful life changes, such as moving to a new area, relationship transitions, child rearing, or career changes; learning self-care to better manage resulting stress
Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) - Reducing unwanted intrusive thoughts and rituals by gradually building comfort and confidence facing difficult fears, thoughts, and emotions
Trauma - Coping and healing after threatening or scary events, such as witnessing accidents or experiencing sexual, verbal, emotional, or physical abuse
Immigrant and Bicultural Mental Health - I specialize in working with immigrant-origin individuals—particularly first- and second-generation immigrants—on issues related to cultural identity, family dynamics, anxiety, trauma, loss, and experiences of forced separation.
Panic attacks / panic disorder - Brief, intense periods of overwhelming fear or anxiety. This can be accompanied by Health Anxiety, which is persistent worry about having a serious medical condition. Together, we work to challenge anxious thoughts, gradually face feared sensations and situations, and break patterns of avoidance and reassurance-seeking to help you feel more in control and less consumed by worry.
