Professional statement

Tasha Novotny is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Minneapolis, MN. Her work focuses on helping parents, caregivers, children and adolescents grow in their capacity for self-care and self-compassion. Tasha also has extensive history as a school social worker and enjoys helping parents advocate for their children's unique learning need within the educational system. Tasha is accepting clients virtually and in-person. Her office is located on 48th and Chicago in S. Minneapolis. She has evening and weekend appointments available.

Message to clients

I am so happy you stopped by to look at my profile. Parenting, school, caregiving, relationships, they're all hard. You want to care for yourself. You can’t remember what brings you joy. You don’t know how to rest. You’re exhausted; but can never fall asleep. Your jaw is always clenched, and you can’t catch your breath. You are angry, you are sad, you are afraid. You wonder, “what happened to me?”

Therapy can help.

Through a strengths-based perspective, I will help you overcome anxieties and fears that occur during every-day experiences. We will explore harmful beliefs and behaviors that hinder self-compassion. We will work to change these patterns and increase your confidence as a parent, caregiver, and most importantly as a human. Through cognitive-behavioral and solution focused therapy we can find a happier more confident you. We will bring out the joy, compassion and kindness in you.
