Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider, BC-TMHWelcome Weary Traveler. I’m Tim, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, nature-loving poetic, and a rooted dreamer. I enjoy making Tik-Tok references frequently and curse when I get really passionate about a conversation.
I love helping people who feel stuck in the lifeless routine of daily living, which rears its head in their professional lives, personal lives, and their relationship with themselves. My clients arrive at therapy wanting to make major changes to their routines, however, aren’t sure what to do or where to start. They often find themselves with anxiety, depression, overwhelming stress, or burnout. Some of them feel like they’re imposters, with low self-worth that leaves them unable to accept that good thing can happen to them. Other clients replay painful memories over and over in their heads, which leaves them emotionally exhausted.
I help my clients learn more about their emotional states, feelings, thoughts, and goals. My clients and I do a bunch of talking and exploring. But if they're up for a little adventure, we may even incorporate the creative and outside world into therapy through journaling, poetry, and forest therapy. Regardless I work to help them make friends with the harmful and unhelpful thoughts and repurpose their intended goals with healthier, more compassionate ones. Therapy with me will be a brave space to uncover and tame the monsters that have been running the show, like raising a dragon slayer in a time of dragons.
I know you just looking for someone competent that will answer your email when you reach out. But if you are curious, I got my MSW from Rutgers University and hold my LCSW in NJ and Colorado. I hold a certification in Forest Bathing through the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, and I'm under supervision to become a Registered Poetry Therapist.
