Professional statement

Howdy hey, I’m Tim - LCSW, nature loving poet, INFJ, and recovering people pleaser. Most importantly, I'm a frustrated dreamer who knows how hard it is to build a lifestyle that cares for yourself and gives you confidence in your everyday situations.

I work with fed up and exhausted people pleasers 1:1 in the therapy office. They thought they were just looking for someone to talk through things with, learn a few skills, and feel better. After listening to enough peoples’ dreams, they all shared this in common: They were looking for space to connect with the world, explore and express themselves freely, and live a life of intentionality. And through our work, they built themselves with creative expression, enjoying time outside, and finding the bravery to share with others.

Being the rooted dreamer I am, I set out to build this miracle dream into existence. A clear path to travel so my clients didn’t have to “figure it out” in their lives. In the process of making it for them, I knew I was making a space for you too. I’m hoping you join me.

Here’s what this journey holds: individual therapy gets us to the heart and core of the issue. In the Writing Wisdom groups we set out to bear witness to your hidden desires and needs, and bravely share them with others for the first time. For Soulful Stargazing retreats we take time to admire the wonder you hold and the world that surrounds you.

The path towards your miracle now has a guide who has charted the way. I have the compass and map and want to take you there. Sign up for a consultation so we can talk about what it is you long for, and how this space can get you there.

Message to clients

The intrusive thoughts of intentionally un-aliving remind you of Cotton-Eye-Joe, they keep you asking where they came from and where they go afterwards. You were just staring at your work calendar. Here’s what you do know: your venti vanilla pumpkin foam cold brew adds 2 shots is lukewarm at best because you don’t know how to schedule a lunch and take a sip of what you need (emotionally and literally). Resentment grows in that secret closet in your brain until it unleashes like a mental forest fire.

Nature seems to help, work can’t follow where there isn’t cell service. But you haven’t found a way to bring that peace home with you. Writing and journaling tangentially leads to spirals of emotional breakdown, even though it’s cathartic. What you need is a container that can hold the fire that threatens to burn your forest.

Howdy Hey Traveler, my name is Tim, Nature Loving DND Playing Poetic and frustrated dreamer. I trailblazed a program to fit your whole person, help you in crisis, and get you walking a path worth living. Head to my website and schedule a consultation. I’ll bring the snacks for this journey, I just need you to show up.

Specialties

Suicidal ideation - I see you suffering in silence. You want to avoid another grippy sock vacation, but also want to have these thoughts out loud so you can help them heal. It's not easy, holding onto this alone. I have found that most of the time, these thoughts just want to help escape the pain or have your needs met. I can offer a space to do that, as long as you come honestly and can keep yourself safe (and I can help with that last part). Take a look at my program, let's walk a new path.

Borderline personality disorder - I can assure you that you are welcome here in this space. I've built a whole person program to do more than just talk: Depth oriented individual work to unburden the wounds, creative exploration (with a sprinkle of skills, because they are still needed), and nature based work to fill up your cup. This program is here to help undo the whole knot, and be a constant space to receive support from. Head to my website, take a look at what I have to offer. It's a space for you if you want it.

Childhood trauma - Learning how traumatic events in childhood can translate into adulthood; processing through difficult memories with the goal of moving past the experience and lingering symptoms

Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life

Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)
