Professional statement

Dr. Vincent Rozalski is a Clinical Psychologist in the San Francisco-Bay Area specializing in the treatment of PTSD and problems that arise from trauma, including anxiety, depression, chronic pain, insomnia, substance abuse, relationship problems, and general emotion dysregulation.

Dr. Rozalski sees clients primarily online and in some limited in person visits both in San Francisco and the East Bay. He utilizes evidenced-based treatments for individuals who are struggling with distress or dysfunction in their daily life, ranging from mild to severe. He learns what clients value the most in life to help find a way to utilize these treatments to make their life the most worth living.

Dr. Rozalski graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and has trained in multiple settings, including PTSD clinics in different VA Hospitals, a substance abuse clinic, an inpatient psychiatric hospital, and several general mental health outpatient clinics. He has received advanced training in psychological research and balances scientific rigor with compassionate care.

Message to clients

I believe that there are two main ways I can be helpful: 1) identifying and changing your relationship to thoughts, behaviors, and feelings that are causing more problems than they solve, and 2) creating a space where you feel comfortable to process and explore your experiences. I like to find what motivates clients, and will use those motivations as our "north star(s)" to understand where we're headed and why it's so important. Change is difficult, and I believe that if we can clarify your core values, you can find the motivation to either change or accept what has been getting in the way of your most fulfilling life.

For individuals seeking treatment specifically for trauma and PTSD, I understand how important it is for clients to approach these problems at their own pace. If you are interested in trauma treatment but aren't quite ready to directly talk about your experiences, we'll instead focus on helping you problem solve intense moments of emotion dysregulation or avoidance that cause problems. Once you feel stabilized, you're in full control on whether or not to continue with trauma-focused treatment. Everyone is ready in their own time, and I'm happy to help at every step.

My experience in multiple settings means that I'm comfortable treating problems that are distally or unrelated to trauma as well, so if trauma is not primarily affecting your mental health, I can help. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
