Professional statement

Dr. William James Jones is a Licensed Psychologist and the founder of The Jones Psychology Group, which opened in the spring of 2019 and has since become one of the premier Mental Health Group Practice for patients in the San Gabriel Valley and greater Los Angeles area. Dr. Jones's cares about the satisfaction of his clients, and guarantees top of the line Integrative Depth Psychology® services to help people return to full mental, emotional, and behavioral health.

It is Dr. Jones's passion and goal to help clients thrive mentally, emotionally, and even spiritually. He uses an Integrative Depth Psychology® approach, borrowing from more relational and inter-subjective psychoanalytic models. It is his hope that, through a depth of self-understanding, self-awareness, effective self-management, clients will undertake a unique process toward self-actualization.

A cornerstone of Dr. Jones's practice is face-to face individual therapy. Whether that's addressing current concerns, past hurts, or future challenges, he works with clients to navigate the various aspects of their lives to so they are better able to understand themselves, others, and their world. He encourages clients to schedule this service today to ensure that they're ready for what’s ahead.

As a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator, Dr. Jones has a unique set of therapeutic tools and techniques designed to deepen a couples understanding of one another and the nature of their relationship.

Couples therapy is separate and apart from individual therapy. In these sessions, both partners meet with Dr. Jones weekly to discuss issues and concerns together. Many topics can include, but are not limited to, ways to improve communication, strategies to share thoughts and feelings, and plans for resolving conflicts. In couples's work, Dr. Jones treats the couple as a unified entity and endeavor to bridge the gap between relational strengths, weaknesses, patterns and probably unconscious dynamics interfering with the health of the relationship. Whether in a new relationship or working toward building the ideal relationship, couples counseling can help address the repeating patterns that may interfere with successful relationships and build healthier ones.

Dr. Jones's office is located in the heart of Pasadena, and he also provides telehealth sessions remotely to patients throughout the state of California and certified Life Coaching video sessions for clients in different parts of the U.S. He looks forward to working with you.
