Professional statement

I help individuals navigate a variety of difficulties including anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship/family challenges, and stress. I strive to build a trusting relationship where clients can speak openly, better understand their inner experiences, gain insights, and develop awareness of narratives and patterns that may be holding them back.

My practice is rooted in psychodynamic therapy and integrates other techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness, depending on the individual's needs. I am insight-oriented, strengths-focused, collaborative, and client-centered in my approach.

I obtained my Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling from CUNY-Baruch College in 2014 and completed post-graduate training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the PANY Institute affiliated with NYU.

Message to clients

Making the decision to make a change can be one of the most difficult things we experience. Going through a loss, including the losses that often go unrecognized can impact us in different ways. Our accumulated experiences can also shape how we feel, think, interact, and relate to ourselves and others. Internal conflicts can bring about anxiety that may feel insurmountable. Beginning to understand what underlies the conflict and put feelings into words is a proactive step towards addressing obstacles. Gaining awareness of how things play out in our lives can be invaluable.

My style is warm, collaborative, and supportive. We can look at what you are experiencing with curiosity and compassion, whether you are looking to work through a current stressor and/or address a longer standing challenge. Please reach out if you would like to speak about whether we may be a good fit to work together towards your goals.
