Professional statement

Yana Elbert is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who specializes in helping individuals who are stuck in repeating patterns and may be facing a range of challenges such as worry, anxiety, depression, low self esteem, career challenges, and relationship issues. She works collaboratively with her clients to develop deeper self-awareness, uncover underlying feelings and beliefs, and explore new perspectives. Through compassionate counseling, Yana assists clients in working towards creating meaningful change in their lives.

Message to clients

Are you finding yourself repeating the same patterns over and over again and feeling unsure of what is driving them? Is anxiety becoming overwhelming? Are you feeling trapped in indecision? Are you feeling internally conflicted and wanting to understand what it is that is keeping you stuck? Maybe you're feeling disillusioned, worried, and depressed. My practice is insight-oriented and aims to help individuals develop a deeper awareness, so that they can better understand themselves and work towards longer lasting change.

Together, we will identify your strengths to address what is most important to you, with consideration of your values and needs. We will look at what you are experiencing with curiosity and compassion and work to understand what may be holding you back. By identifying the narratives that are keeping you from living a more fulfilling life, we can create room to develop new ways of responding or engaging.

Therapy is most effective when there is a strong therapeutic alliance. I strive to build a trusting relationship that facilitates space for meaningful growth. Through an empathic and collaborative style, I work to help my clients build a stronger sense of self as they move through their lives. Whether you are looking to work through a current stressor or address a longer standing challenge, therapy can be a powerful tool to help you work towards your life goals.
