Therapists In-Network with Medicare (through Blue Cross Blue Shield) in Rhode Island

Medicare (through Blue Cross Blue Shield) is a common health insurance in Rhode Island, and individuals who have Medicare (through Blue Cross Blue Shield) may wish to find therapists who are in-network with their health insurance.

When you see a therapist who is in-network with Medicare (through Blue Cross Blue Shield), each session you’ll pay only a copay, which typically ranges from $0-$75/session. Depending on your plan, you may first need to pay the provider’s full session fee until you meet your annual deductible, which is the total amount of medical expenses required before your health insurance starts to cover costs. Some plans cover the cost of in-network therapy sessions before the deductible is met; to verify whether your specific plan covers therapy sessions and at what rate, visit the Medicare (through Blue Cross Blue Shield) website or call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask about your coverage for outpatient mental health.

Thanks for exploring my Zencare page to see if I may be the right fit to support you on your journey toward improving relationships, expanding your toolbox of healthy coping skills, making meaning of these challenging times in our world (e.g., COVID, racism, social injustice), and feeling better in your daily life!

Since I am actively licensed to support clients living in Rhode Island & Ohio, I am unable to serve those living in Connecticut/Massachusetts/other states. As I am not a Trauma Specialist, I encourage individuals seeking trauma-focused support to reach out to an EMDR certified Zencare Trauma Specialist.

Potential clients often reach out when they tried therapy before, yet found the match was not the right fit (e.g., being charged when you need to cancel for something important in your life, hearing "uh-huh" without gaining insight/coping skills). I believe flexibility, cultural awareness/competency, and connection is essential for healing! -Dr. Chantelle

Understanding how my clients make sense of their world is of utmost importance. I use a variety of methods depending on the client and the problem. For instance, I rely on expressive therapy to help with unresolved grief, whereas I use mainly behavior therapy for tension reduction. Above all, I check frequently with my clients to be sure the methods I am employing are meeting their needs.
I have been helping clients with relaxation for 35 years, and I have continually refined my methods. I have in many instances helped clients to experience deep relaxation when they had failed in prior attempts, and I always try to balance challenge and support.

The Adult Partial Hospital Program at Rhode Island Hospital provides intensive, short-term treatment designed for individuals with acute psychiatric concerns. After completing a day of treatment, individuals return home for the evening. This minimizes disruption to their daily routines, maintains uninterrupted support of family and friends, and facilitates learning by encouraging immediate practice of newly acquired skills.

We believe that patients should have ample opportunity to speak with a specialist; therefore, patients are seen for individual sessions every day. We offer telephone consultation and send a detailed report to primary care physicians and outpatient behavioral health providers to help them provide their patients with the most informed and complete care and facilitate the transition to outpatient care after leaving the program.

Please note the Program requires a referral from a provider, which may include an outpatient mental health professional, primary care provider, emergency room, or hospital. Download the referral form here. For questions, please call 401-444-2128.

Therapy provides all of us an opportunity to gain understanding about ourselves and our lives, and helps us manage it all with full awareness and greater strength. It works best when the therapist is competent and when there is a good connection between client and therapist.

Deciding to see a therapist and looking within takes courage. Congratulate yourself for taking this step. I can help you make lasting change so you not only overcome your current problems but become stronger and wiser on the other side.
My approach is holistic, integrating mind, body and spirit. My style is direct (I'll tell you what I think), intuitive (I trust my intuition and will help you trust yours), and with a touch of humor (it always helps to lighten your spirit). There's no one size fits all therapy, so together we'll decide what works best for you.
I'm a licensed psychotherapist and a certified life coach so I'll integrate both sets of skills in our work together. We'll explore your past when necessary to help you break free from self-sabotaging patterns and limiting beliefs. I'll also help you create a vision for your future so you have a road map to move forward.

The only conflict you will ever have is the one inside yourself. –M. Scott Peck.
My job is not to tell you what to do. Or even give you advice. Or presume that I know what's better for you than you do. My job is to support you emotionally and listen non-judgmentally as you find your way through life's bumps and bruises. We often think that the source of our conflict is our job, spouse, children, parents, siblings, money...take your pick. No doubt that dealing with people and situations is often stressful. But it's our own conflicting values and desires about how to handle these things that tend to make us anxious, depressed...stuck. Sometimes, simply talking about what's bothering you helps you feel better. What I do is compassionately listen and then gently point out where you sound conflicted within yourself. So, psychotherapy becomes a journey of insight that we take together to find your unique answers to these questions-- to find out what you really want.
