Practice Information

At Get Better Counseling, we provide personalized, compassionate mental health care to individuals across Maryland, Washington, and Florida through secure telehealth services. We have more than 60 clinicians! Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck, our goal is to help you get better — not just temporarily, but in a way that feels lasting and empowering. Therapy here is a collaborative process rooted in curiosity, respect, and a belief that meaningful change is always possible.

Our clinicians are professionally licensed with advanced training in evidence-based approaches such as CBT, mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and strengths-based therapy. Each therapist brings their own warmth and unique style to the work, creating a space where clients feel truly seen, supported, and understood. We thoughtfully match you with a clinician who aligns with your needs and preferences, ensuring that you feel safe and connected from the start.

What makes us different? At Get Better Counseling, we believe healing should feel human, not clinical. We’re small enough to offer personalized, attentive care, and intentional enough to ensure every client is matched thoughtfully with the right therapist. We accept most major insurances and work hard to remove the barriers that often get in the way of starting therapy. You’ve taken a brave step just by being here — let’s take the next one together.

FAQS

What services does your practice offer?

Get Better Counseling offers individual, couples, and family therapy for adults and children throughout Maryland via secure telehealth. Our services support a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and identity exploration. We use evidence-based, culturally responsive approaches tailored to each client’s goals, and we’re committed to creating a warm, supportive environment where clients feel empowered to grow, heal, and thrive.

What are your practice's specialties?

At Get Better Counseling, our specialties include treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Many of our clients come to us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected — and we help them build clarity, confidence, and emotional resilience. Our clinicians also have experience supporting clients through life transitions, grief, self-esteem challenges, and identity development. We take a strengths-based, personalized approach, always working collaboratively to help clients move toward the life they want to create.

Why should I choose your practice?

You should choose Get Better Counseling because we prioritize genuine connection, personalized care, and meaningful progress. From the moment you reach out, we take the time to understand your needs and thoughtfully match you with a therapist who feels like the right fit. Our approach is warm, non-judgmental, and rooted in evidence-based practices — but more than anything, we’re human first. We know how hard it can be to ask for help, and we’re here to make that process feel easier, more supportive, and deeply respectful of your journey.

How does payment work at your practice?

We accept most major insurances, like Blue Cross Blue Shield, CareFirst, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, and Tricare. If you don't have one of these insurances, our fee is $120 and we are happy to provide you a superbilll to give to your insurance company that we don't accept so that you can get reimbursed.
