Hello! Hola! Bonjour! Привет! أهلا! olá! And welcome. We are a PoC/Multiethnic, Non-Binary and Women run mental health collective headquartered in Providence, Rhode Island! 80% or more of our providers are Black, Latinx, Mixed Race, Middle Eastern or other PoC and/or are part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. Those on our team who are White/European American and/or Cis/Hetero are actively Anti-Racist and strong allies in their live and work. ALL of the providers on our team see mental health access as a form of Activism and are Feminist and Social Justice aligned. We understand the importance of showing up in an authentic way for our clients and are deeply relational in our approach. We value connection, and show up for our clients with a deep reverence for the therapeutic space held between us. We are actively working to decolonize mental health care and stigma and are working to actively increase access to quality care for those who have been historically excluded.
At the Phoenix Rising Centers, we offer a wide variety of modalities to help those seeking mental health services, including: EMDR, traditional psychodynamic and insight orientated talk therapy, narrative therapy, life coaching, solution focused coaching and counseling, trauma Informed yoga, somatic (body based) psychotherapy as well as medication supports. We offer individual, couples and family therapy and work with people across the lifespan from the age of 8 and up.
Those on our Phoenix Rising Centers team have a deep affinity to social justice and view the complexities of our system(s) through an antiracist, feminist, intersectionality, trauma-informed, strengths-based and holistic lens; We look at how privilege & oppression-based culture comes into play into our own and our clients' lives. We carefully consider the important roles that race, culture and identity play in our lives and those of our clients.
We are unique in that we are an online mental health collective that is social justice oriented and provide services FOR and BY Black, Latinx, other PoC, and LGBTQ2S+ communities across the US!
