Practice Information

Welcome to Phoenix Rising Centers, where we prioritize care for and by OURSELVES! We are Black and Brown, Queer, Trans, and Gender Expansive, JOYFUL, Nonbinary and Neurodiverse, and Disabled. We are the ones we have been waiting for! And WE are taking charge of our own care! We intimately know and understand how the health and well-being of our families, communities, and the systems surrounding us profoundly impact our and our community's mental health. This is so much bigger than any one of us alone.

Redefining mental health means decolonizing it. By breaking free from oppressive norms like heteronormativity, ableism, patriarchy, white supremacy, and gender binaries, we shift our focus toward healing historically marginalized and excluded communities. Gone are the days of having to justify our struggles to therapists who don't understand our lived realities. As a social enterprise powered by those who have been historically marginalized and excluded, we have a steadfast commitment to creating an inclusive and empowering mental health space for our community... because our very lives depend on it.

We recognize that this work is challenging and we believe in the power of genuine connection and shared experiences to foster healing. By rejecting oppressive norms, we have created a space where healthcare is provided for and by those who have been overlooked and dismissed. We are in this together!

Welcome to your safe space for your mental health!
