Trauma -
We will sit with you in the darkness to process, learn to cope, and heal after surviving a one-time or repeated traumas.
Our team has treated survivors of childhood physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, intimate partner or domestic violence, rape, violent crime, natural disasters, accidents, war, persecution (refugees), identity based bias, bullying, and frontline worker trauma.
Couples counseling -
In the initial sessions of couples therapy, our goal to understand your story; as a couple and as individuals. We can then identify your connection, triggers, and patterns. We will provide techniques that will improve your connection, your communication, and your sex life.
Life transitions -
We can support you through difficult or impactful life changes, such as moving to a new area, relationship transitions, career changes, or preparing for parenthood. We will provide support, offer validation, be your thought partner and provide concrete tools to empower you.
Attachment issues -
The way one connects (or attaches) to others is the single greatest determinant of one's mental health. We can together develop your interpersonal and communication skills, provide insight into how family attachment patterns are affecting you today, and help you to fostering healthy relationships and create boundaries in relationships that are less than healthy.
Mood disorders -
We can alleviate mood disorders, including all types of depression and anxiety, which can cause disturbances in your mood (eg. sad, irritable), unwanted behaviors ( eg. procrastination, isolation), uncontrollable worry, feeling overwhelmed or hopeless , low motivation, muscle tension, headaches, stomach problems, eating or sleeping too much or too little, and no longer enjoying life.
Identity development -
We will prompt inquiry that will provide greater understanding, acceptance, and love for who you are. Together we will examine your values, strengths and what brings you joy and purpose. We can partner with your to explore issues such as, race, class, gender, and sexual orientation, in the context of self experience.
