Welcome to Sentient Psychotherapy!
We are a boutique, brick and mortar private practice group with offices in Lower Manhattan. In-person therapy at Sentient is a rewarding, rich and beneficial experience. Our clients say therapy with us is "different" and that "I feel like a totally new person!"
Our diverse, multiculturally-focused team of therapists increase access to excellent mental health services for people who might not otherwise seek the help they need. If you want to work with a therapist who really gets you, you've come to the right place. Our therapists speak English, Mandarin, Cantonese, French and Spanish.
At Sentient, we focus on helping you develop psychological flexibility to better manage your stressful life. Sentient Psychotherapy is a female-owned, brick and mortar practice dedicated to providing highly individualized, in-person and online therapy to New Yorkers. We take the time and care to pair you with the best therapist to meet your needs. From your first inquiry to your last session, you will notice the attention and care you receive from our entire team. Our offices are a calming oasis in Lower Manhattan, and the ease of our scheduling and billing services make all the difference! Our therapists are all highly trained in mindfulness-based approaches that effectively reduce stress and improve functioning. We forge meaningful therapeutic relationships with our clients and hold you accountable to your treatment. Our clients get results because we are personally invested in your care.
We offer highest quality therapy that is affordable, with or without insurance.
We accept most PPO and POS plans and only charge you a copay once your deductible is met. Many clients find it very hard to find good in-network providers with immediate availability. We seek to bridge the gap by handling all insurance paperwork and submitting claims for you.
If your benefits include coverage for out of network providers, we ACCEPT your plan. Most plans have a deductible which must be met before benefits apply, and co-insurance which covers PART, but not ALL, of the cost of therapy.
We handle all insurance paperwork, submit claims and bill insurance on your behalf OR provide you with a Superbill (like a receipt for therapy) that you can submit to your insurance company for direct reimbursement.
If you don't have out of network benefits, we provide sliding scale and low-fee, self-pay therapy.
