Afshan approaches therapy through an integrated lens, imparting models such as Accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy (AEDP), Emotionally Focused therapy (EFT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Relational Therapy. Afshan holds two masters degrees, one in General Psychology and the second one in Mental Health Counseling. Additionally, she has been trained in object relations theory and has earned a fellowship in working with the LGBTQIA population from the KIP Initiative for Psychotherapy. Currently she is pursuing a certification in AEDP through the AEDP Institute.
