Academy of Clinical Social Workers, ACSW Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) Practice: A Good Place Therapy Specialties • Insurance & Fees • LocationsWe all deserve to feel seen, heard, and respected. To show up who you are, and how you are. Alex's goal as your therapist is to help you thrive, not just survive. Together, you'll co-create a safe therapeutic experience to reflect on how internal narratives and patterns are shaped by systemic, historical, political, or familial stories. She can help you navigate past traumas, tackle current life stressors, or move through major life experiences such as conflict, career/ school/ family transitions, and grief. Together, you will explore how interpersonal and structural based trauma manifests in your bodies and pathways to metabolize those experiences in your nervous systems, reconnect with your humanity, find balance and joy.
Alex uses a dynamic approach to therapy including trauma informed somatic modalities that weaves together ancestral healing practices [cooking, gardening, art, storytelling, connecting with nature, etc.] with the latest trauma informed techniques such as psychoeducation, mindfulness, deep breathing, and talk therapy. Her approach is informed by her personal and professional experiences working on criminal legal system reform with formerly incarcerated people, system-impacted families, frontline staff, and military veterans. She came to this work with a commitment to social justice after reflecting on her own experiences overcoming dyslexia and personal experiences with the justice system.
