Allegra is committed to creating healing spaces for LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC folks, especially queer Black women, femmes, and mixed-race individuals. Her work centers on supporting you through growth, rest, and healing while navigating the weight of systemic oppression. Together, you will explore ways to create more freedom, joy, and choice in your life.
Allegra specializes in supporting those who have experienced various types of trauma, including sexual, relational, racial, and intergenerational trauma. Trauma can deeply impact how we treat ourselves, how we relate to others, and how we feel in our bodies. In therapy, you will work together to reconnect you to your body and help you regain more choice and control over your life, so you can feel more empowered and at ease.
Allegra's therapeutic approach is grounded in Black feminism, which values your unique identity and the ways that race, gender, culture, and history shape your experience of the world. I believe healing is essential for creating stronger, more just communities, and that healing from oppression is an important part of that. Your mental health is influenced by how you’ve been treated by the world, and healing those wounds can help build a more transformative future.
Allegra also uses attachment-based therapy to explore how your early relationships shape the way you connect with others now. By recognizing patterns from the past, we can make healthier, more intentional choices in the present and build deeper, more supportive connections. Additionally, she brings in Somatic Experiencing (SE), a body-based trauma therapy that helps release the trauma stored in the body. SE aligns with many BIPOC ancestral healing practices, and is especially powerful for healing the generational trauma that gets passed down through our families and communities.
