Professional statement

Angel Linnan is a licensed professional counselor and national certified counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. Ms. Linnan uses a strengths-based, core components approach to treatment, drawing from multiple evidenced-based practices including TF-CBT, MI, and Mindfulness with adults, and TF-CBT, CPP, and non-directive play therapy with children. With a flexible approach to treatment, sessions can focus on what is most needed in the moment to support individuals in reaching their goals, both short and long term, and ultimately increase self-awareness, resiliency and hope.

Ms. Linnan specializes in supporting clients in recovering from trauma and bringing awareness of how past attachment and relational patterns play out in day-to-day life at home, work and/or school, regardless of one’s age. Ms. Linnan aims to support clients in breaking the cycles of intergenerational trauma to help individuals and families become their happiest, healthiest selves.

Message to clients

We may not always feel in control of what life throws at us, but we can gain control in how we respond, make meaning of our experiences, and move forward. Therapy should be a safe place to explore pieces of yourself that you may not fully understand, so you can have the support needed to explore who you are. Through this process, you can become aware of how past experiences and relational patterns have shaped the world view you hold. Whether it be childhood trauma, grief, major life transitions, or just needing a compassionate ear to help guide you through becoming more self-aware, I can offer support.
