Dr. Anthony Ronald Morice is a licensed clinical psychologist located in downtown San Francisco. He offers psychotherapy and psychoanalysis to adults, children, and families. Dr. Morice works with clients seeking help with a variety of issues including addiction, anxiety, and depression, and has a particular passion working with men experiencing substance abuse, relationship issues, and trauma.
Dr. Morice’s approach is rooted in over 10 years of clinical experience integrating both the most prominent evidence-based interventions, such as cognitive behavioral therapy CBT, acceptance and commitment therapy ACT, and play therapy, with psychoanalytic theory and practice. His style is warm, compassionate, and curious, as he works with clients to explore the depths of their experience, the causes and conditions for unhealthy patterns of feelings, thought, and behavior, and finally strategies for bringing more wellness, peace, and purpose in their lives.
Dr. Morice earned his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from the California Institute of Integral Studies. He is analytic formation as a Candidate Psychoanalyst with the Bay Area School of Lacanian Psychoanalysis. Since graduating in 2019, Dr. Morice has been a professor at California Institute of Integral Studies and most recently the University of Dallas, teaching Addiction Treatment and Human Development from a psychoanalytic perspective. Lastly, Dr. Morice currently serves as Clinical Director of Ohlhoff Recovery Programs, where he has spent the last several years supervising staff and leading the agency’s understanding of the clinical treatment of addiction and co-occurring disorders. When he is not pursuing his life’s purpose of helping people, he enjoys his time out in nature with a musical instrument in hand.
