Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT Master of Arts, MABrigid Oram is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in Los Altos, CA. Brigid specializes in working with individuals who have a trauma history, including traumatic experiences or distressing situations. This trauma often results in feeling overwhelmingly sad, panicking in everyday situations, having conflict with loved ones, or having a low mood. Brigid works with clients to support personal growth and move towards feeling happier and more comfortable while developing a sense of fulfillment in their lives.
Brigid is a strengths-based therapist, which means that she believes in the power of using each client’s unique strengths as a stepping stone towards better mental health. She helps clients take a look at their connections with others -- including their attachment to loved ones such as parents -- and how these patterns play out. Her background includes experience in psychopharmacology, neuroscience, language-based learning differences, and ADHD. She brings a trauma-informed approach to all sessions with clients to establish a safe, secure environment for conversation.
Brigid is seeing clients in-person, following all county safety guidelines, and virtually. She is a warm, compassionate therapist who enjoys collaborating with her clients. She believes that everyone has the power to take charge of their emotional wellbeing and offers clients the tools needed for introspection and action.
