Master of Arts (MA) - Clinical Mental Health Counseling Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHC National Certified Counselor, NCCBrittannie Moroz is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor located in Providence, RI. Brittannie is passionate about providing effective therapy services to individuals that have previously experienced trauma. She works with clients whose trauma came from neglect in childhood, abusive relationships as an adult, being a victim of a crime, or many other situations. This trauma manifests in panic attacks, prolonged periods of sadness, difficulty trusting others, feeling detached from an authentic self, or addictive behaviors.
Brittannie provides trauma-informed therapy services, which means that she has additional training in how to ensure that all clients feel comfortable, safe, and secure in the therapy environment. She enjoys cultivating strong therapeutic relationships and supporting clients in making sense of their current troubles in the context of their life stories. To help clients move past their painful memories, she may offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, an evidence-based therapy modality. She also incorporates elements from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which teaches clients how to pay attention to their thought patterns, especially the negative self-talk that can result in low self-esteem or low self-worth. Her work with clients is client-led, as she collaborates with each client on their treatment plan and honors the client's expertise in their own life experiences.
Brittannie’s goal in her therapy practice is for clients to feel seen, heard, understood, and known. She strives to create an atmosphere of non judgment, compassion, and empowerment as clients prioritize their mental health. She brings mindfulness into sessions and believes in holistic healing.
