Professional statement

Christina is a Licensed Master Social Worker and psychotherapist who works with individuals located in New York. Many of her clients are experiencing difficult life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, burnout, low self-worth and depression. Christina’s therapeutic style is integrative and weaves together psychodynamic psychotherapy and social justice-based frameworks. These approaches emphasize connections between the past and present, and acknowledge the impacts of larger cultural and social systems on individual well-being. Christina is an active therapist and her sessions are generally collaborative, reflective, and centered in curiosity.

Previously, Christina worked as a social worker with survivors of intimate partner violence, as well as with individuals navigating poverty, economic insecurity and immigration-related stress. These experiences help to support a holistic and human rights perspective in her work as a therapist, as well as her specialty in the treatment of trauma, emotional and physical violence, and challenges related to social and cultural stressors.

In addition to her background as a social worker, Christina also has over ten years of experience working in different roles in the service industry and is able to provide therapeutic support for individuals navigating the particular difficulties of work in this field.

Message to clients

Making the choice to begin therapy is a radical act of self-love and community care. My goal is to provide a supportive, affirming space where clients can explore and better understand their challenges, cultivate a more trusting relationship with themselves, and experience greater joy. In our work together, we’ll focus on your inner strengths and resiliency, while exploring the challenges you are facing with compassion, humor, and courage.

Whether you’re seeking support for specific challenges or simply interested in expanding your self-awareness, you are worthy of a space for healing and care.

Christina is currently welcoming clients remotely via teleheath therapy sessions.

I affirm LGBTQIA+ individuals and ENM/non-traditional relationships and also have experience working with people of diverse cultural backgrounds.
