Colleen provides a supportive space for individuals, couples, and families to lead more meaningful, connected, and fulfilling lives. She uses warmth, compassion, curiosity, and humor to ensure her clients feel welcome and heard in session. She is particularly passionate about helping her clients increase self-compassion, strengthen intimate and familial bonds, and engage more fully in their present environment.

Colleen received a Master’s of Science from the University of Rhode Island with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has experience working with clients of all different ages in various settings, such as outpatient clinics, residential homes, shelters, and clients’ homes. Her diverse experience has helped her gain knowledge of social services and systemic functioning in the the state of RI. She has attended the Externship Training for Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and is continuing to deepen her practice as a couples therapist.

It is a priority of mine to provide clients with a safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental space where we can build a therapeutic relationship based on trust. Once we feel that we are a good fit for working together, I can help you identify and accomplish your goals to create positive change in your life.

My specialties include the treatment of symptoms related to anxiety, trauma, depression, adjustment disorders, attachment issues, and relationship difficulties. I use a holistic and systemic approach to therapy, catering to unique strengths, experiences, and health practices while incorporating techniques derived from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
