Professional statement

Courtney is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California who works with adults who want to feel more like themselves again. Her background spans a wide range of settings, from supporting older adults living with serious mental illness to leading art based groups with younger clients, and she pulls from all of it. Her approach is integrative and grounded in person centered therapy, motivational interviewing, and harm reduction.

She feels most at home with people carrying the weight of trauma. Much of her work uses somatic and mindfulness based tools to help clients reconnect their mind and body and recover a sense of agency over their own lives. Courtney sees you as the expert on your life, and her job as walking beside you rather than handing you answers. The people she works with often come looking for steadiness, a bit of creativity, and a way back to a sense of peace and purpose.

Courtney sees clients through Wellqor, which offers online therapy across California. To get started with her, patients fill out the Get Started form on the WellQor website. A member of the front office team will then message you with next steps and help you find a time to meet, so the first step stays simple and there is no pressure to have everything worked out before you reach out.

Message to clients

Before we begin, I want you to know that you do not need the right words or a clear plan to start. You can show up exactly as you are. I see therapy as collaborative, so I will follow your pace instead of setting my own. You are the expert on your own life, and my job is to listen closely, ask honest questions, and help you clear away whatever is getting in your way.

I tend to connect most with people who are carrying something heavy, often trauma, and who want to feel more at home in themselves again. Some of our sessions may focus on practical tools and skills, and others may sit with the harder feelings and the way they show up in your body. However we work, I will meet you with humility and respect, and I will honor your right to choose your own path the whole way through.

My hope for you is simple. I want you to feel seen and understood, to reconnect with your own sense of agency and peace, and to start trusting that change is possible for you no matter where you are starting from. It would be an honor to walk alongside you, and I cannot wait to meet you.
