Professional statement

Dr. I-Ching Grace Hung is a bilingual psychologist licensed in CA, NY, & MI, specializing in providing virtual sessions for therapy, life coaching, and executive coaching to individuals or couples striving to build a confident sense of "self" and find meaning and fulfillment in life, whether in personal growth, relationships, or career.

To explore the big questions of "Who am I, what do I believe in, and how can I live the life I want," Dr. Hung marries the wisdom of Buddhist philosophy and practices with the science of psychology to deepen clients' self-awareness and exploration. She also uses a multiculturally sensitive lens to identify how our environments may have shaped our beliefs, motivations, and behaviours.

Dr. Hung's approach brings a sense of calm and clarity while inspiring clients to continue in their growth, sustainably and pragmatically. Her clients often describe her as "insightful," "compassionate," "non-judgmental," and "balanced," while trusting her to share her candid observations. In addition to collaborating with clients to connect the dots and identify valuable patterns, Dr. Hung provides pointed feedback with ease and humour, as well as timely reminders and strategies.

Many clients say that sessions with Dr. Hung consistently feel productive and actionable. She is committed to supporting clients in turning insights into action, and help clients actively practice new mindsets and skills outside of session. Dr. Hung also provides supervision to other therapists to increase self-awareness and multicultural competency.

Confidential sessions are held remotely in both English & Mandarin, early mornings before 9am EST, or evenings after 4pm PST / 7pm EST, Mon-Thurs, and Sundays.

Message to clients

Hi! I'm Grace, an East/West, Taiwanese-Canadian multicultural combo, educated/lived in the US, currently in pursuit of a slow(er) life.

I love helping people find a sense of clarity, peace, and freedom in living their best self. Specialties

Existential crisis & challenges - Who are you and what brings meaning to you in this life? Find your answer to the big question, and carve out a path of fulfillment that rings true to who you are and who you want to be.

Life transitions - Life is full of changes. Learning to not only cope, but strive, from change, can help us become stronger and more resilient. Whether the change is in relationships, culture, career, losses, or gains, let's use the opportunity to grow wiser.

Race & cultural identity - The world shapes us, just as we shape the world. Knowing who you are as a racial, cultural, and ethnic being can help to bring an understanding of yourself and others, and help you navigate the world successfully.

Life coaching - If what's unique about therapy is the chance to look at our past, coaching would focus on our present and future. Building on your goals and desires, we can actively implement strategies to move toward your personalized goals.

Couples counseling - Explore how two "complete" individuals can grow in your own ways, while also be in a committed relationship. From a space of love, we can learn to communicate, give, and receive while also creating a space for each unique person.

Executive Coaching - Align your personal values with your work and career. What brings you fulfillment and energy? Optimize your performance as a leader and contributor, while navigating the workplace as a system.
