Professional statement

Jamie Liebentritt is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Downers Grove, Illinois. She provides individual therapy for teens and adults in Illinois, Nebraska, and Washington, D.C. Many of Jamie's clients come in when they've exhausted their go-to coping strategies and are ready to dig deep to understand the roots of their behaviors. Jamie is passionate about working with young people as they transition to adulthood, postpartum moms and folks who are navigating family building, and individuals experiencing grief and loss.

Jamie is trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), an evidence-based, non-pathologizing, and client-led therapeutic approach that helps individuals unburden parts of themselves that have been pushed into extreme roles and heal childhood wounds. In session, clients are asked to get curious about their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, with the goal of creating more balance and a greater connection with their core self.

Known for her clarity, warmth, and humor, Jamie meets clients where they are at in their therapeutic journey. Jamie knows that therapy is hard work. So, she hopes to offer a brave space for folks to process their emotions, approach moments of discomfort and stress, and hopefully find peace, gratitude, or whatever else they seek.

Jamie earned her bachelors and masters in social work from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Prior to starting her private practice, Rose Mental Wellness, Jamie spent several years coordinating international aid programs in central and eastern Africa. She received post-graduate training in Psychodynamic Theory, Internal Family Systems, and is currently pursuing certification in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International.

Outside of private practice, Jamie enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, walking in the woods, and catching up on the latest episode of the Great British Baking Show.

Message to clients

No one goes through life unscathed. And, for many, the thing you need to talk about is the last thing you want to talk about. As someone who has been in therapy and as someone who grew up in a family where big emotions were avoided, I get it. This is hard work. And yet, I've seen the transformative shift that happens when people get curious about their story, looking for answers and wisdom in their past to make sense of their experiences so they can live more fully in the present. Reach out today for a free 15-minute consultation and start prioritizing you.
