Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC Practice: Mindful Health Solutions Specialties • Insurance & Fees • LocationsJasmine Kincaid is a Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC, joining Mindful Health Solutions as a Psychotherapist. She specializes in working with teenagers and addressing adjustment, Depression, Anxiety, and Mood disorders with them. She approaches her style of therapy as a caring, warm conversation and activities to break up the conversation so that patients can grow in a different (and more creative) way. She is person-centered and strengths-based in her approach to therapy. She strives to be right beside each individual on their journey to increased mindfulness and growth. She utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness-based counseling, and attachment theories in a relatable and more digestible context.
As a Psychotherapist, she believes that therapy is something that people need alongside whatever treatments they’re currently doing or starting to receive for their conditions. In her eyes, a collaborative approach to mental health when needed is the best way to go about treatment, because no one should settle with “almost” feeling better. In her experience, she learned “cold-turkey” medication use is not best for everyone, and alternative treatments like Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy and esketamine treatments, alongside therapy, provide the best results when working as a combination of treatment methods.
To Jasmine Kincaid, the ideal patient would be willing to build a therapeutic alliance to develop new skills and insights into their life, because they are the experts. They are willing to grow and implement change not only for each one-hour session but in day-to-day life where change matters. She hopes to work on a one-on-one basis with each patient, and ensure they have the tools they need, and that work best for them as an individual.
