Professional statement

Jessica Connell-Glynn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Executive Coach in Midtown, Manhattan who specializes in anxiety, perfectionism, panic disorders, adjustment disorders, depression, trauma, including PTSD related to receiving a cancer diagnosis or being a first responder, career-related stress, infertility support and relationships issues. Couples Therapy is another main focus on Jessica's work with clients. While she mainly sees clients for psychotherapy she is also an Executive Coach and can help you with work related goals and desired achievements. She sees all genders across the adult lifespan.

Jessica utilizes psychodynamic therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), EMDR and emotionally focused therapy (EFT) for couples. She spends time with her clients exploring how their patterns or symptoms came to be and what steps they can take to feel better. She takes a collaborative and active approach by setting goals with her clients, asking them questions, and staying engaged throughout the session. She encourages her clients to dig deeper in an effort to understand themselves more. Jessica has had great success with couples using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). She helps couples empathize with each other's triggers and understand and become more sensitive to each others feelings. This calms defenses and increases communication.

Some of Jessica’s clients are professionals and individuals who are looking for support in maintaining a work-life balance and building confidence and self-esteem. Others are navigating a career change or promotion at work. They fear failure and need support in taking the next step.

Jessica cares about her clients and is truly invested in helping them achieve their personal and professional goals. She received her MSW from New York University, BA in Psychology from LIU and a Professional Coaching and Executive Coaching certification from World Coach Institute. Her office is located near Grand Central.

Message to clients

Hello and Welcome! If you’ve been having anxious feelings that have been overwhelming you, you have come to the right place. Together, we can identify where these feelings are stemming from, how they are effecting certain areas of your life and come up with creative and unique ways to change these unhelpful thought patterns. Ultimately, this will help change, and productively adapt, the behaviors that these thoughts cause us to engage in that we aren't proud of. We can then proceed confidently with altered behaviors that make us feel more comfortable and happy with ourselves. I would love to hear from you and schedule a phone consult so we can explore this approach further and how it can uniquely fit with you and what you are currently experiencing!
