Message to clients

I am thrilled to be on this part of my journey. I have been in private practice for many years and am currently a member of the National Institute for the Psychotherapies (NIP) contemporary psychoanalytic institute. My therapeutic approach incorporates a strengths based model to begin the process of change. I am certified in integrative trauma and will often incorporate these ideas to frame my clients’ experience as we build our relationship over time.

For many years I also was the Patient Care Specialist for the Hospital for Special Surgery Peri-operative Pain Service. My role allowed me to confront the opioid crisis from a individual patient-centered perspective. Serving as a health advocate brought me a profound sense of purpose knowing that I was able to create change in patients caught in the middle of this terrible epidemic.

I have had multiple careers prior to returning this work. After studying neuroscience at the University of Connecticut, I felt life was best lived in many directions, so I pursued careers in marketing and acting. As a performer I was able to develop a strong creative process which nutured my imagination and filled me with the ability to flexibly live in the moment. Learning to be present has been incredibly useful in creating states of mutual reverie with my clients.

I revel in the opportunity to uncover your truth and capacities for growth through mutual exploration.
