Professional statement

Dr. Katherine Russell is a Clinical Psychologist at Kendall Psychological Associates in Salem, MA who specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma, spiritual concerns, existential issues, and life transitions. She especially enjoys working with clients who are interested in integrating the more holistic components of health and wellness into their overall treatment.

Dr. Russell’s approach to treatment is integrative, often incorporating elements of relational therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She also recommends mindfulness tools for clients to utilize both in sessions and outside their time together. When working with clients for trauma, her approach is informed by narrative therapy and EMDR to assist clients along their path to empowerment in reclaiming their lives after the event(s).

Dr. Russell cares deeply about helping clients process organically, and strives to help them reach a point of transformation and reconnection with their authentic selves. She looks forward to working with you.

Message to clients

To be human comes with a range of experiences, emotions, and questions. Therapy can help support us through times of struggle and change. As a psychologist, I am continually honored to connect with individuals in all of their humanness, and to help them connect to and trust that within themselves during their processes of healing and transformation.
