Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, LICSW Master of Social Work, MSWKim Snapper is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts. Many of Kim’s clients are navigating various life situations from social anxiety, personal and family challenges, life or career transitions to managing the stressors of life. Kim is particularly passionate about working with people who are trying to live fulfilling lives in the face of childhood and adult trauma.
Kim is trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization Therapy (EMDR) which is a type of psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress of disturbing life experiences- whether that is from childhood or adulthood. EMDR has been proven to help resolve various symptoms by reprocessing disturbing events, memories, thoughts and feelings so that they no longer have an impact on one’s well being.
Kim’s style is empathic, supportive and collaborative. Kim sees herself as a partner to help her clients tap into their inner wisdom and strength to live the lives that they so desire and deserve.
Kim received her MSW from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a Level 2 AEDP therapist (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy) and continues her training in a monthly peer supervision group with other AEDP therapists. Kim has a growth mindset and outside of her private practice, she is often in trainings and immersed in therapeutic books and literature.
Kim sees clients virtually on a weekly or bi-weekly basis depending on preference and need.
