Professional statement

Kirsten Cantley is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor located in New York, NY. Kirsten specializes in tailoring her therapy services for those who feel exhausted trying to keep up the facade of success. Many of Kirsten’s clients are women who seem like they “have it all” – strong relationships, successful careers, and healthy habits. However, many of these women feel like they’re faking their lives and become disconnected from who they are at their core. Kirsten helps these clients navigate the pressures of their lives as well as depression, anxiety, or other mental health symptoms.

Kirsten’s approach to therapy begins by developing a strong rapport with her clients. She gets to know her clients’ backgrounds, thoughts, feelings, and dreams. Clients detail out their stressors and collaborate with Kirsten to set goals for themselves. Each session, Kirsten helps clients determine the next step towards reaching these goals. She also helps clients to recognize their progress and to feel empowered to prioritize their mental health. Kirsten takes a Feminist, strengths-based approach to working with clients.

Kirsten earned her Master’s degree from Northwestern University. She is a holistic therapist and helps clients improve all aspects of their lives, including their physical health, mental health, social health, and more. Her goal is to help clients find joy in their lives again and to feel more like themselves.

Message to clients

Does your busy mind keep you up at night? The racing thoughts you cannot seem to control? Are you wanting to create balance and joy in your life with work, family and relationships? Are you tired of the inner conflict going on inside of you and you just want to know how to resolve it?

Wouldn't it be wonderful to work with a therapist who makes you feel safe and nurtured? A space where you can talk about everything and anything so you can process and start to design the life that you want on your terms? Create new habits that are healthy not only for your mind but for your body and spirit. Let go of old patterns that no longer serve you and that are causing you unhappiness.

I work with career-minded women struggling with burnout who feel exhausted and are tired of people-pleasing, permanently eliminate their anxiety, guilt, and frustrating feelings of never being heard or afraid of being heard by giving them a non-judgemental experience where they will finally be heard and listened to in a beautiful, calming environment. We will work together to create a life for you that is full of joy, success, empowerment, serenity, and better self-care by raising your vibration, teaching you boundaries, changing your neural pathways to a new normal you never dreamed was possible.

Start feeling amazing today! Call me now to schedule a complimentary 20-minute phone consultation.
