Professional statement

Kristine Lindell, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, is based in West Des Moines, IA. She delights in working with couples and individual adults, teens and children age 8+.

Kristine employs modalities that address the root of trauma responses, anxiety, depression, difficult life transitions, relationship struggles, spiritual disconnection, and other important issues. Because hardship and stress effect our whole being, Kristine seeks to engage your whole being in the healing process. Every session is always tailored to the age, individual needs, & goals of each client.

Many of Kristine's clients are often intuitive, creative, and are driven to heal, succeed, and find more wholeness in a chaotic world. Kristine might be great therapeutic fit if you desire to be more connected to self and others, be a positive force in the world, and experience an increased ability to cope with life stressors more easily.

Traditional & trauma-informed methods such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy are combined with somatic techniques, Reiki, expressive arts and play therapy, IFS Parts & Inner Child work, & meditation/mindfulness practices. As the expert in their own lives, therapy sessions are always built around the evolving needs and desires of the client.

Kristine creates a safe and grounded space where clients will be empowered with self-awareness, and effective coping skills to create desired change. She works from a desire to help people discover authenticity, and experience overall healing for greater joy.

For those that seek it, Kristine provides guidance around spiritual healing and expansion.

Kristine Lindell is committed to maintaining a diverse, equitable, and inclusive practice, which serves as a safe harbor for people who identify as LGBTQIA and people of the global majority. In addition to her West Des Moines office, Kristine offers the flexibility of remote therapy sessions as well.
