Dr. Layal Al Mosawi is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Flatiron Center for Psychotherapy. She has experience treating adults in a wide range of settings, with a primary focus in trauma, LGBTQIA+, and international populations. Throughout, she has specialized in attending to the needs of culturally diverse individuals and their unique mental health and treatment needs.
Dr. Al Mosawi relies on psychodynamic theories and therapies to inform her work, and integrates other modalities to provide a balanced approach on the basis of clients' needs. Dr. Al Mosawi can provide services in both English and Arabic.
Dr. Al Mosawi is accepting individual or couples, both virtual or in-person and evening sessions are available. The Flatiron Center offices are located in the heart of Manhattan and is easily accessible.

Trauma - Coping and healing after threatening or scary events, such as witnessing accidents or experiencing sexual, verbal, emotional, or physical abuse
Race & cultural identity - Exploring topics of racial, cultural, and ethnic background as it relates to one’s family origins and personal identity
LGBTQIA, gender, & sexuality topics - Exploring topics of sexuality, gender, and identity; coping with discrimination and oppression; navigating relationship, family, and cultural challenges
Psychological evaluations & testing - A broad range of tests and assessments that may be used to identify present strengths, provide diagnosis clarity, and inform treatment goals
