Lily Gatica is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering online therapy to individuals and couples residing in the states of California and Texas. In addition, she holds an Out-of-state Telehealth License in the state of Florida.
Her process involves using a holistic approach that addresses the mind, body, and spirit in a loving and gentle way. Lily believes developing a strong connection between the therapist and the client is crucial to building trust and laying the foundation for change to happen. It is important for the client and therapist to develop a strong relationship so that they can work together effectively, and thus providing the client what they need most in each session. Without a strong and trusting relationship, certain avenues can be overlooked during the healing process.
Lily studied clinical psychology with an emphasis on spiritual in depth psychology. During this time, Lily traveled to Japan to study the culture’s approach to Mindfulness through Zen Buddhism, as well as the relationship to therapy. Lily trained at the Maple Counseling Center where she received extensive experience providing individual therapy to a diverse population of adults ranging from 18-64 years old. She supported clients who were experiencing a wide array of issues: anxiety, depression, grief, self-harm, PTSD, mood disorders, and relationship difficulties. Lily also trained at Early Childhood Development Associates where she worked with families, mothers and newborns, toddlers, and children through an attachment based lens. In addition, she received training on EMDR and trauma informed body focused practices.
Given that every individual is unique, Lily's experience has allowed her to develop a versatile process that helps the client wherever they may be on their life path. Lily is conducting therapy services via HIPPA-compliant teletherapy.
