Lisa Gold is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Concord, Massachusetts. Lisa welcomes a wide range of young adult and adult clients, and particularly enjoys working with college and graduate students who are struggling with anxiety, depression, academic or social issues, transition to a new environment, and stress management. An eating disorder specialist, Lisa also has over 25 years of experience helping clients establish a healthier relationship to food and their bodies.
Lisa uses a primarily skill-based approach, helping clients learn to tackle unhelpful patterns of thoughts and behaviors. With training in both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Lisa incorporates mindfulness and meditation techniques to ground clients in the present moment, increasing their ability to calm themselves in moments of stress and uncertainty. Lisa has additional training in health coaching and intuitive eating, which she uses to help clients struggling with their weight or with weight loss.
Lisa is compassionate, non-judgmental, down-to-earth, and uses humor in her practice. By focusing on each individual’s unique strengths, she is able to support clients in overcoming the obstacles that stand in their way of meeting goals. Lisa is excited to welcome new clients to her office in Concord, and also provides remote sessions for clients who find this to better fit their schedules and needs.
