Professional statement

Lisandra Ramirez is a Bilingual Licensed Mental Health Counselor, seeing clients in both Florida and Wisconsin. She works with individuals across the lifespan, with a focus on young adults dealing with life transitions. Many of her clients are highly successful in their careers or academically, but struggle to feel connected in their relationships or at peace in their daily lives. Lisandra is particularly sensitive to clients facing moments of transition, like a move to the city, job loss, or breakup, which have in turn manifested in symptoms of anxiety, depression, and self-doubt. Many of her clients have tried therapy before, or are brand new to the idea. Most are wanting to do deeper level healing, which she is excited about, since her passion is getting people to an optimal state of being.

Lisandra's approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an evidence-based approach that focuses on helping clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, so that they can begin to make targeted change. She works to help clients understand their physical response to external stressors, and begin to problem-solve ways to introduce moments of calm, to choose to respond rather than react in the face of change.

She creates a safe space for people to start their healing journey. As a trauma-informed therapist, Lisandra is sensitive to the influence of past experiences on present challenges, and works closely with clients to reframe the narrative of their life in a way that increases self-confidence and compassion.

Lisandra's first priority in starting with a new client is ensuring that they feel safe, heard, and like an equal partner in the therapeutic process. As a seasoned telehealth provider, she offers the convenience of remote sessions to help make therapy a core component of your self-care calendar.

Message to clients

Many of my clients are highly successful in certain areas of their lives, and and generally functioning quite well, however have found therapy to give them that extra boost needed to take that next step in like. Most of my clients struggle with making decisions, and are eager to learn more effective coping skills, manage intense fears around failing, or overwhelming sadness about something from their past. Many of my clients also struggle with how to navigate romantic relationships, and sometimes do not feel worthy or good enough. Many of them also question what path they are on, and struggle with feeling hopeless at times. The encouraging piece is that most do start to feel better once they start counseling and we start to unpack and understand things from their past. Together we connect the dots, and discover what changes are needed to move forward. .

If you are interested in working together on your goals, I would be honored to join you on this journey to a better tomorrow. I can't promise it will be an easy journey, but I can promise that you do not need to try and figure this out alone. You deserve to be supported, and I look forward to supporting you! Contact me today to start living your best life!
