Lisaura Lozada-Goode(She/Her/Hers/Ella)

Lisaura Lozada-Goode is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist located in IL. She works with individuals and couples, and specializes in helping adults improve their relationships. Many of the clients that Lisaura welcomes into her sessions want to have healthy, loving relationships but find themselves attracted to relationships that result in feelings of rejection, distrust, confusion, frustration, and loneliness. They want to work with a therapist who is experienced in relationships and can help them reevaluate their needs and wants as well as connect to others in meaningful ways.

Lisaura’s specialty is dance/movement therapy in both individual and couples’ sessions, which is a form of therapy that incorporates and uses body movement to understand and help integrate emotions, experiences, and beliefs. Lisaura guides clients through intentional movement that can help them become more open to experience new feelings and perspectives. With a newfound body awareness and by learning from body cues, Lisaura helps clients reflect on their current relationships, identify the patterns that lead to distress, and create change that feels more embodied and integrated. Clients are assured that they aren’t alone in their wellness journey and that they have Lisaura’s support as they grow.

Lisaura takes a curious and compassionate perspective in her sessions. She encourages clients to engage in self-exploration so they can get a better sense of who they are, particularly when they begin to make changes in their relationships. Lisaura loves helping couples understand what prevents them from feeling securely connected in their romantic relationship or marriage, and discover how to create and nurture new bonding moments. Throughout their therapy experience and work with Lisaura, clients begin to develop trust in their intuition, decision making, and feel more confident in themselves and their romantic partnerships.
