Professional statement

Mayra Bagnoli is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker offering telehealth sessions to Florida state residents. She is fluent in three languages: English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

In her previous career as an occupational therapist, Mayra worked for psychiatric hospitals for over 20 years. In 2009, looking forward to having her own business, Mayra returned to school and completed her MSW, and got licensed as an LCSW.

Mayra has worked also in community mental health centers, has offered home health care, and currently works only in her private practice. Mayra has worked for five years as an emotional support coach for people who had weight loss surgery.

Her intensive psychiatric experience makes Mayra a therapist who is comfortable working with people from all walks of life. She has developed a caring, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed approach.

Mayra has been known for her openness, nurturing nature, and also for her ability to help clients to face difficult aspects of their lives with compassion.

Mayra is comfortable confronting clients to leave their comfort zone and helping them to explore creative solutions for their current problems.

Rather than focusing on deficits, Mayra's approach focuses on her client's strengths and on developing tools that will promote self-control, improve communication skills, increase self-esteem and self-confidence, and develop positive conflict resolution skills.

Mayra believes that by working with her, her clients will be able to self-transform, to become the people they were meant to be.

Message to clients

Hello, I am Mayra; my passion is helping people going through life transitions. Things such as going through a divorce, having weight loss surgery, going into retirement, getting sick or adapting to illness, navigating the newness of married life, relocating to another place, changing careers, becoming a caregiver, dealing with a breakup, and handling work stress.

I love to see people grow and change and fly high. I believe in short-term therapy. I thrive seeing my clients learn tools that they will keep forever and that will help them in future moments of crisis. My idea is to enable people to self-heal and become independent from external support to conquer their goals and face moments of vulnerability. I believe that once people learn to hear their inner wisdom they will be able to overcome challenging situations, to become confident, flexible, creative, and strong.

Going through life transitions is scary; you feel stressed out, unsure of yourself, weak, and vulnerable.
All of a sudden you fear that your life will change forever and you will never be happy or comfortable again.

What if you were able to develop ways to adapt to the new reality without feeling completely broken?
What if you discover that you were stronger and smarter than you ever thought you were?
What if you discover a different way of life that makes you feel calm, happy, and confident again?

Together we can conquer it! Please contact me now! I will love to work with you!
