Professional statement

Dr. Nicole Lee Dolan is a holistic psychologist practicing on the Central Coast of California. Nicole earned her Masters degree in 2011 from Pacifica Graduate Institute and later returned to satisfy the requirements for a PhD in Depth Psychology/ Counseling Psychology completed in 2015. Nicole runs a private practice and a non-profit under the name: Sacred Path where she is able to place clients who need additional flexibility with scheduling and fees. In her personal life, Nicole is a mother of three, a wife, and a devoted seeker and author.

As a psychologist, Nicole applies a psycho-spiritual approach. She defines this as a bridge between psychology and spirituality. A way of working with the psyche that involves healing trauma and then honoring the wound as a catalyst to transform one's life for their highest good and the good of all. Nicole has worked with countless individuals who began their journey horribly depressed and depleted by anxiety and trauma who have healed old wounds - individual, societal, universal - and then have gone on to teach and heal others on their paths.

Nicole and her team are available to meet either in-person or online. Our current locations are in Pismo Beach, San Luis Obispo, and Atascadero.

Message to clients

Psychotherapy is a Sacred and Spiritual Practice. When we engage in this work whole-heartedly, we begin to find that feeling our emotions and healing our hurts brings us so deeply in connection with who we Truly Are. Our egoic defenses are no longer necessary and our feelings - our emotions - our hurts - are heard, seen, and honored as part of a whole. We ALL have them.

It is my own journey through my personal challenges that has led me to a place where I can help you. Areas in which I am particularly skilled at are: Abandonment, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma/ Sexual Trauma, PTSD, Relational/ Attachment Wounds, Postpartum, Parenting Coaching, Couples Counseling (Particularly Couples with Young Children), Spirituality.

Areas in which my team is most useful to you: Anxiety (Social/ Generalized), Depression, Healing Trauma, Couples' Work, Identity/ Gender Issues, Life challenges and transitions, Grief/ Loss, Spirituality/ Existentialism.

I see the world through a lens of Meaningfulness. Where most people chase happiness, I chase Meaning. And even when it seems like the light has disappeared. I always advise: TRUST THE PROCESS.

Wherever you are in your process, know, there is Absolutely Hope. Light. Love. Meaningfulness. We are here to guide you.
