Professional statement

Paula Glashausser is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Los Angeles who treats individuals and couples. Many of Paula’s clients seek support to address difficulties or conflict in interpersonal relationships, life transitions, communication, and other mental health concerns, including anxiety and depression. Paula is particularly passionate about serving young professionals and couples.

Paula is trained in the Gottman Method for couples counseling, as well as cognitive behavioral therapy and other mindfulness and client-centered approaches. Paula hopes to support and encourage self-exploration to help initiate the changes needed to lead to a healthy, happy, balanced life. In sessions, Paula actively listens and works alongside the client to create an individualized treatment plan. Part of this includes teaching effective mindfulness and grounding techniques, positive coping strategies, and other healthy outlets to help the client navigate difficult moments. This approach allows clients to discover the strength within themselves and feel empowered to make choices more aligned with their goals and needs.

Paula's therapeutic style is collaborative, safe, and non-judgmental. When clients first start sessions, Paula works to build a strong therapeutic relationship that provides a comfortable space to openly share one’s story and promote self-discovery and personal growth.

Paula received her MSW in 2011 and has since worked treating adults, young adults, adolescents, and children facing an array of psychosocial concerns. Outside of private practice, Paula enjoys gardening, writing, and cooking. Paula is offering HIPAA compliant telehealth sessions at this time and welcomes clients from all walks of life.

I truly believe that we are all resilient and strong, and I strive to collaboratively guide my clients to find the answers they need within themselves. My goal is to meet my clients where they are in their emotional journey and to support them in making the changes needed to feel fulfilled in their lives. My practice is inclusive—all are welcome, all are accepted, and all are valued. I welcome you to reach out to see if I’d be a good fit for you. I look forward to connecting with you!
